Title of Project Forestree Art: Celebrating the Magnificence of Trees
Abstract of Project
I am going to use acrylic paint and create paintings on dried, pressed leaves which I will frame and sell on etsy.com. I will also create an instagram page to promote my art.
Larger Purpose
As a tree lover, this project will help me to promote the importance of trees and help me to give back to SUU. It involves both nature and being creative, which bring me joy and I hope to bring joy to others through my art. My project is also going to push me out of my comfort zone. I have never openly shared my artwork, rather it has been a hidden talent that most people do not know I have. I hope to open new doors of opportunity in a completely different aspect of my life.
Project Goal
For my EDGE project I will paint at least 40 leaves and market them on etsy.com
Outcomes
Through this project, I will improve my artistic talents.
Through this project, others will feel inspired to care for and appreciate trees.
Deliverables
At the end of this project, I will turn in examples of my work along with video documentation that I was the one who painted it.
Differentiation
This project will help me show my uniqueness and creative abilities in a major that revolves around science and technology. As a senior studying Agriculture Science, I tend to focus on the science of growing crops and raising cows. Agriculture Science is moving to become more of an integrated science which involves both social science and education. It is said to be both an art and a science. Developing the artistic side will definitely help me stand out in my field.
